As I said, it's a lot easier and quicker to get back than it used to be.

Yes, for people who have further to travel beyond Manhattan to get home, it can get pretty late after an evening performance, especially if it's a longish show and/or if the timing is such that you just miss a train and have to wait for the next one (they're hourly), so I would suggest those people consider the matinees.

On that note, Paper Mill used to do Thursday matinees. Do they still?

I think the theater that REALLY should offer shuttle buses from the closest train station is Goodspeed, because that place is really remote from public transportation.
