Sondheim Visits the Sondheim show at Laurie Beechman

Posted by: mlop 03:26 pm EDT 08/14/14

KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar just finished a three performance sell out show on songs of Stephen Sondheim. Yes a sell out with a long waiting list. It was an extraordinary show I saw it a week ago Wednesday and I have sat through so many Sondheim shows.

Last night, of course I was not there, Stephen Sondheim attended the performance. How exciting it must have been for all involved and he posed with the cast after the show. They are reprising the show on October 18th, and hopefully more will be added in the future.

The musical director was Jon Weber, a man with miracle fingers that dance over those 88 Keys.
