Yes, that table was practically a co-star. But the structure of the set was quite massive for the space, they used a lot of lights, a lot of costumes, a lot of multi-media, and they had a fairly big cast and band relative to the space they were in.

So, yeah, it looked expensive to me, at least in regards to the space that they were in and the length of their initial run. Four weeks or so in a Theatre Row theatre, with that scale of a production - even if they had sold all of their seats (and I believe they sold almost none of their seats), there was no way they were going to recoup.
