I have to admit, I was very surprised that some of the reviews yesterday were positive. What I saw about 2 weeks ago was positively drivel and I didn't think that any attempt to "tweak" the material I saw would make the show better. It needed an entirely new book and an entirely new score. And it appears that Harvey W. might know that the show is subpar; why else would he basically tell Brantley that the show was not yet ready to be reviewed by critics? And on its OPENING NIGHT no less!
