Rich and Don Werbacher - twin playwrights and TKTS promoters passed away

Posted by: PlayWiz 07:14 pm EDT 08/16/14

Just found out today that Rich and Don Werbacher, who many of you might know from their promotional activities and friendly assistance near the TKTS booth, died within days of each other in March. They both, along with Don's late fiancee Lisa, wrote among other things the off-Broadway musical "What Would Esther Williams Do in a Situation Like This?"

They were both really nice guys; Don had been ill and hadn't been working at TKTS for many years. They were always upbeat, friendly, humorous and when I went to a reading of "Esther Williams" discovered they were very talented gents as well. So sorry to hear this about their passing. Rest in peace, gentlemen.
