Not only is she a wonderful performer, she is very smart too. When she used to do numerous game shows, she was someone you wanted to have as a partner on shows like "$20,000 Pyramid" as she gave great clues and came off as being intelligent. In fact, I first knew her from these appearances and wasn't aware of all her Broadway credits, so didn't know why she was a celeb guest. I was pleasantly surprised after finally seeing her in her Tony-nominated performance in "Chapter Two" in seeing that she was a "real actress" and a really good one too. Then if you listen to such wonderful audio tracks of her like "The Secret Service (Makes Me Nervous" in "Mr. President" and reports of her being a wonderful Sally Bowles replacement during the original run, her terrific reputation makes sense.
