Tabard Theatre Company kicks off its 14th season with this intimate revue that uses timeless songs from the early musicals of Maltby & Shire to explore the excitement of young love and the confusion of growing up (or is it the other way around?). Hailed for possessing "more lilting originality and heart-felt emotion than any big Broadway musical" (The Washington Star), this bold, crowd-pleasing show takes a winsome cast of three through the maze of modern relationships. From tender ballads to hysterical husband-hunting laments, from wry comments on trendy marriages to shouting-from-the-rooftop celebration, Starting Here, Starting Now is a love letter to early Broadway from Maltby & Shire, one of the most respected teams in contemporary musical theatre. Running September 12-28th. Th/Fr 8pm, Sat 2pm/3pm, Sun 2pm Tickets are $15-$38
