This is not the issue. The article below covers a lot of territory. British equity suggests - not requires - that child actors be paid 50% of the adult minimum.

For example, on broadway, all the Matildas recived Broadway minimum - around $1800 a week. In Lond they reciver around $425 a week each.

Famously in Cameron Mackintosh's OLIVER at Drury Lane, Oliver and the Artful Dodger got $60-$100 per performance.

The UK theory has been that what you pay a number of children to cover a role 8 times a week, adds up to more or less one salary.

This is what ALW would like to see reformed
