"I'm not sure why a press release about a benefit for the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative would be expected to mention an unrelated event months away in another city." Only because the fact that the property is being adapted as a musical is very newsworthy and might possibly attract further interest in the benefit reading of the screenplay.
