The New York Public Library has book/cd/dvd sales of donated materials to raise money for the libraries and their programs. I go to the monthly sale at the St. Agnes Branch on Amsterdam Avenue between 81st & 82nd Streets all the time, they have great stuff and a big turnover of items. Link attached, hope it helps.
