Oh, I didn't read it that way at all since the first sentence was obviously satiric. I read it that Roth came to the decision on his own (not at all surprising) but that the poster was hoping that his action would prompt the other two major owners to change their minds. I do of course believe that Roth was aware of the outcry at the time he made his post. He is too astute not to be aware.
