I never saw the original cast of ''Night Music,'' but I agree: Maureen Moore's the best Charlotte I ever saw onstage. Moore seems to have become the queen of replacements and standbys: ''Song & Dance,'' ''Jerome Robbins' Broadway,'' ''Falsettos,'' ''Gypsy,'' ''Grey Gardens,'' etc. I also wish she got her shot to shine and originate a role.
