I had forgotten that, but after the revision of "Follies" (which I did not see) that had been presented on the West End I can't say it surprised me all that much. It was a more somber take on the material than either the original production or Susan Schulman's ELT revival (which had been a bit more somber, or rather artsy, than the original as well).
