I thought Isherwood was a rave. Anyway, I do agree w Murray on this: Once Sutter starts getting serious, the scenes start dragging. But as fast and crazy as it had been I didn't mind the change of pace at all. I saw some walkouts/Act II no shows. It was a gutsy choice to open a season with.

I saw it Sunday night and enjoyed it immensely.

Probably more because of all the surprises which were surprises since I hadn't read anything about it.

So many people here analyze many reviews.

How do you then feeling going to see a show knowing almost everything that happens in advance?

I purposely avoid reading anything (especially reviews) about a show before I see it. For me, knowing too much spoils the experience.

I tend to skim the posts by ATC posters whose tastes seem to align with mine to see if they liked or disliked a show. I use that as a gauge to see if I want to buy a ticket. After I've seen the show I dig deeper and read more fully.

I agree. Just bypass the thread until I've actually seen something I know I am going to see. It's much more fun when you're in the looooooooop.

You basically do previews if an ATC user, despite all the spoiler alerts in caps. We just get drawn into the fray anyway.
