Two popular shows returning this season are Peace, Love, and Cupcakes The Musical and the long running favorite Pinkalicious, The Musical. Fancy Nancy returns for the holidays in Fancy Nancy: Splendiferous Christmas.

School/Group Performances are available at Vital Theatre during the run of each show. Tickets start at $30. Shows are appropriate for ages 2-12. The Butterfly Girl, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, opens the season. Book and lyrics are by Michelle Elliott, music and lyrics are by Danny Larsen and direction is by Linda Ames Key. The production is based on the book Velma Gratch and the Way Cool Butterfly by Alan Madison and plays September 20th - November 16th, Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm with special holiday performances on September 25th, September 26th and October 13th at 11am and 1pm.  Tickets are $30 for regular seats and $40 for premium seats.

Velma Gratch is excited to start first grade, but when she does she finds herself overshadowed by her older sisters! While searching for a way to stand out, Velma discovers she has a passion for butterflies! When one lands on her finger, she's in heaven! But what is she to do when it doesn't fly away? A charming story of a girl and a butterfly, and Velma's metamorphosis into something unique and special.

Fancy Nancy, appropriate for ages 2 to 7, returns to the Vital Stage in Fancy Nancy: Splediferous Christmas! Based on the New York Times bestselling picture book by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser, the show will run from November 22nd, 2014 - January 4th, 2015, Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm, with holiday performances on November 28th and December 26th, 29th, 30th, 31st and January 1st at 11am and 1pm. Tickets are $39.50 for regular seats and $49.50 for premium seats.

Vital's popular production of Peace, Love, and Cupcakes The Musical with book, music and lyrics by Rick Hip-Flores, directed by Jennifer Curfman continues! Last year's hit is based on the popular chapter book, Peace, Love, and Cupcakes: The Cupcake Club written by Sheryl Berk and her 11-year-old daughter Carrie Berk. The production opens on October 4th at 7pm. Performances continue Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 4pm through January 25th, 2015. Tickets are $30 for regular seats and $40 for premium seats.

In Peace, Love, and Cupcakes The Musical, appropriate for ages 6 to 12, Kylie Carson has a problem. She loves monster movies, zombie thrillers, and vampire sagas but her classmates at her new school avoid her like the Creature from the Black Lagoon! To sweeten up her image, Kylie starts a Cupcake Club. With the help of her new friends they begin spinning out tasty treats. But when Meredith, the most popular girl in school, tries to sabotage the big cupcake party, it may spell the end of the Cupcake Club. The show is appropriate for ages 6 - 12.

The perennially popular production Pinkalicious, The Musical with book by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann and music and lyrics by John Gregor and directed by Teresa K. Pond, returns this season. The production opens November 1st and will perform at Vital on select Saturdays at 3:30pm through April 26th. Tickets are $30 for regular seats and $40 for premium seats.

Pinkalicious can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament.
