When her husband, Edgar, died didn't he leave everything to Melissa and nothing to Joan? If so, Joan really earned her money by working her ass off. Good for you, Joan Rivers!

I seem to remember that there wasn't much money left at that point, due to Edgar's mismanagement.

But, either way, kudos to Rivers for coming back from what has to have been the darkest professional/personal point in her life.
