Yes, of course Melissa would rather have her mother alive. Still, after her incredible personal, career and financial difficulties, I would imagine Joan would have been very happy to have left her daughter and grandson a fortune. As for Melissa, I have to imagine she was doing very well already. She produces Fashion Police which is a big fat hit for E! and has become a massive international franchise with different versions in other countries.
