Curious Incident ... What a dog!

Posted by: uwsrdh 11:54 pm EDT 09/11/14

Dreadful, perfectly dreadful!
7 Oliviers .... really???!!!
Uninteresting characters, tiresome plot, stultifyingly dull dialogue, cheap set (black walls, black floor, lots of lights spinning and flashing in place of furniture). It was SRO until intermission, when MY seat happily became vacant. Third awful Broadway production in a row that I've had the misfortune to see (and pay for) this season ... YCTIWY, IOAP and now CIOTDITNT.
GAWD!

These days I find myself looking to Off-Broadway to restore one's faith. The productions of "Strictly Dishonorable" and "What Was Lost" were sublime. I imagine the transfer of "Disgraced" will be effective, but I have grave doubts about the other upcoming highly-touted shows/stars. Apologies in advance for the rant, but REALLY ...!
