I greatly enjoyed it. Thought it was moving, profound and one of the most exciting productions I've ever seen.

Tell us more about "What Was Lost" though... What is it?

Wonderful play about Laurette Taylor & Tennessee Williams preparing for the opening of Glass Menagerie. A real love letter to theater and the people who create it.

Played Aug 28-Sep 6 at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre. I hadn't heard anything about the play, but the idea sounded interesting, so I took a chance and it was one of those unexpectedly thrilling nights in the theater I imagine we all (on this board) live for. It made Tennessee come alive in a way I had never imagined him before. And Pennylynn White as Laurette - a great actress portraying another great actress!

Rather new here... Is there a way to private message members? Would love to chat more about this play.

You can post your e-mail address in a response to the person you want to talk to. It will show to everyone, but I haven't found that to be a problem.

I love the next yarn about Laurette Taylor as much as anyone, but let's try and acknowledge it's not 1945 anymore and get with the 2014 program!

And can I add that I love Preston Sturges as much as THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTIME? MOMC, PBS, ST and HTCH are some of my favourite movies.

So you're saying that you don't live for unexpectedly thrilling nights at the theater? Because that's what the poster was imagining, and it had nothing to do with a specific play.
