| Never heard of this film version, but looks like it could be great - Chayevsky wrote the screenplay based on his play. Cast includes Fredric March, Kim Novak, Joan Copeland (Arthur Miller's sister). | |

| ..excruciating and heartbreaking, some of Chayevsky's best writing, authentic New York-in-the-50's locations, and a staggeringly great performance by Fredric March. | |

| TCM shows "Middle of the Night" fairly often, perhaps six/eight times a year. | |

| If I had a DVR i'd have set it even still... I, like many i assume/hope, prefer to see a movie on as big a screen possible... a tv is usually quite a bit bigger than a computer and yields a better viewing experience. (unless of course you have youtube on your tv, and reliably strong internet) | |

| I get it on channel 28 on RCN cable in Manhattan. The Get COZI TV search tool at the link below gives a channel that doesn't work for me. | |

| It's a digital channel I get over the air: channel 4.2. Don't know where it is on cable systems or even if they carry it. A subsidiary of NBC I think. | |

| It's included in my Comcast service. Great channel (BLACK WIDOW w/ Ginger Rogers, CAREER w/ Tony Franciosa)--all the older movies you can't find anymore on major cable stations that seem to show only newer fare. Second only to my favorite, Turner Classic Movies. | |

| Just realized I was mixing up two cable channels: COZI is where I saw DARLING LILI and the original version of THE ITALIAN JOB. It's not bad but I prefer Movies (243 on Comcast in NJ), which shows somewhat better fare (BLACK WIDOW, CAREER). | |

| It is an excellent film. I believe Kim Novak considers it her best performance, even more than "Vertigo." | |

| I initially watched it sorry that Gena Rowlands, who had done it on Broadway, had not been cast, but Kim made it easy to get over that. She is excellent. | |

| . . .MIDDLE OF TE NIGHT and of the gorgeous Kim Novak. We are so fortunate to have many good adaptations of plays of the fifties. BUS STOP and SEPARATE TABLES come to mind. By the way, have you ever seen Kim's delightful NOTORIOUS LANDLADY. Great Gershwin soundtrack and terrific turns by Jack Lemmon and my boy, Fred Astaire. And don't forget Estelle Winwood. buzzie, so glad to be back home where I belong | |
