I was there on Friday. It was a wonderful 1:15 minutes of reminiscences and performances that had the effect of closure--that she really is gone.

Well presented but as with many such events the performances were uneven, with the outstanding numbers negating the weaker ones. Slides showing her life and career were projected on the sides of the stage.

Highlights were:

Hunter Ryan Herdlicka had funny and moving anecdotes and sang a medley of "There Never Was a Baby Like My Baby" and "The Party's Over."

Edward Hibbert did a great "Why Do The Wrong People Travel."

Sara Jean Ford who was an understudy and went on in A Little Night Music, shared stories about Stritch's generosity to and bonding with young performers.

Beth Leavel doing the duet from Call Me Madam, "You're Just in Love."

Paul Iacono told funny and insightful stories interspersed with "Little Things You Do Together."

The grand finale was Harriet Harris' kinetic "Ladies of Lunch. " She performed it throughout the space and landed every zinger.

Were the zingers "brilliant"?
