JAI RODRIGUEZ SINGS!
DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS
- Actor, singer and Emmy Award-winning host/actor and Broadway singer/performer, Jai Rodriguez, opens up like never before in his first solo San Francisco cabaret! Appearing two nights only: Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 both evenings at 8 pm - doors open at 7 pm at Society Cabaret at the Hotel Rex located at 562 Sutter Street (btw'n Powell & Mason), San Francisco, CA 94102. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com (no fees) or by calling the Box Office at 415 857-1896. Jai Rodriguez began his career at age 18 when he was cast in the role of Angel in the critically acclaimed Broadway musical RENT. Jai continued his Broadway career, appearing in shows like The Producers and Spinning Into Butter, and he created and performed the title role of Zanna in the Off-Broadway sensation Zanna, Don’t!. Most recognized for his role in Bravo’s culturally groundbreaking series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Jai created a niche role on the Emmy Award-winning series as the ‘Culture Vulture,’ a youthfully savvy addition to the show’s already dynamic cast. In the past few years Jai returned to TV in dramatic roles on many shows and starred as "Geoffrey" on ABCs comedy Malibu Country opposite Reba McEntire and Lily Tomlin making him the first male to garner fame from a reality series to become a series regular on Network TV. Most recently Jai wrapped season 5 and 6 of The Horizon Series in Sydney Australia, the world's most viewed gay web series. Jai Rodriguez' Dirty Little Secrets is “an R-rated cabaret of songs, stories and dance revealing my life, lusts, loves and lessons learned” continues Jai “it’s an evening that’s half singing and dancing and half stand up that shows that sometimes, the road to our own personal truth is through our most shame-filled moments.” Dirty Little Secrets is an evening that is upbeat, empowering and entertaining. For best seats and best location purchase your tickets early at ticketmaster.com (no fees) or call 415 857-1896. Society Cabaret is located in the Rex Hotel, 562 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. Seasonal small plates and fine cocktails are available for additional purchase (no minimums). Sept.. 21: Lisa Fischer 7PM $31; 9PM $24
Lisa Fischer is a singer who really gets around. Her life is an endless round of planes, trains, and automobiles, rehearsals and fittings. On tour with the Rolling Stones, Sting, Chris Botti or Nine Inch Nails, her name may not be on the marquee, but she doesn't care. She's busy loving every minute of it. It's easy to see why she works all the time: her astonishing range, her spot-on intonation, her mastery of the stage, the way her tone wraps itself around your heart and won't let go, the infectious quality of her time feel: these things keep her on top of the list. But it's the sweetness of her smile, her visible pleasure in watching her bandmates do their stuff, her glamorous-girl-next-door quality that make fans all over the world think she's their own secret discovery. She’s featured in the film “Twenty Feet from Stardon.”
