Delightful. Why has Encores! not done this?

I must say I had a bit of trepidation, knowing the musical's lack of love by its creators, but I had a delightful time. Emily Skinner was transcendent, and the rest of the cast was top-notch (including our own Mike R - you were great!). The production, while simple worked perfectly and the limited choreography was as seemingly effortless and beautiful as a Rodgers song. I know this is the W. Coast board, but does anybody know why this hasn't been (to my knowledge) done by Encores! in NY?
