| Richard Connema posted on Facebook today that his lifetime companion (as he called him) Eddy passed away this morning. They were together for over 38 years. Eddy was a fun, warm-hearted man who loved theater, dancing, meeting the stars he admired - and Richard. He will be missed. | |

| Condolences from me too, Richard. I met, and thoroughly enjoyed the company of you and Eddy at Joe Allen's one Tonys weekend in NYC years ago. We were a group of ATC chatterati on a Friday night, after seeing respective shows, who shared a table and stories of loving theater. Thinking of you both with fond memories. Barbara | |

| So very sorry to hear this sad news. I hope that Richard has a good collection of caring friends and family to surround him. I've always so appreciated his reviews and posts, and enjoyed hearing about his life with Eddy. | |

| I have oh some many caring friends in this theatre community. I am so overwhelm by the wonderful remarks that I have received from actors, actresses, directors etc etc. Actors, actresses, PR have come to the house to keep me company. Eddy's niece has flown out from Philly to do all of the paper work and arrangements for Eddy's cremation. I am going back to reviewing starting Saturday to get my mind working again. I do plan to stay in SF since I have so much support from the vibrant theatre community. | |

| Have met Eddy several times at Bay Area openings, with Richard. Both such lovely men. Richard, you are in my thoughts today. So very sorry. | |

| Thanks for all of the kind thoughts. It meant a lot to me. Getting through this and thank God Eddy's niece is out from Philly to do all of the paper work. He will be cremated by the Neptune Society and his niece will take them back to Philly so he can be with his family. Cancelled reviewing productions this week but will start again next week with the BTA AWARD SHOW AT ACT ON MONDAY. | |

| I saw eddy and Richard at the kinky boots discussion at Orpheum a little over a month ago. Eddy looked fine and healthy. They were a wonderful couple and always a pleasure to bump into them at a show. | |

| Never met Eddy (Richard, either, though we've corresponded several times). From Richard's postings though, it is clear that Eddy was his soulmate, the love of his life. Would that any of us could be so lucky! Sincerest condolences, Bill, in San Diego | |

| Tragic news. My deepest condolences to Richard and to his and Eddy's families. Such a shock. Eddy was a delightful man, and I always looked forward to seeing him when I knew he and Richard were in the audience of one of my shows. | |

| What?!? No!!! I'm shocked. They just posted pics from a show a night or two ago! I adored Eddy! He was such a sweetie! Poor Richard, I will keep him in my prayers. A very very sad day indeed. | |
