SD: La Jolla Playhouse Announces 2015 season

In front of tonight's opening of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, La Jolla Playhouse has announced its 2015 season. There are four new works featured, and the WithOut Walls (WOW) festival of site-specific work will return. The festival (October 9-11, 2015) is the only event for which dates were announced, but the La Jolla Playhouse season typically starts in May and continues through March of the following year. Here's the line-up: COME FROM AWAY World premiere musical Book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein Directed by LJP Artistic Director Christopher Ashley UP HERE World premiere musical Book, music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez Directed by Alex Timbers BLUEPRINTS TO FREEDOM: AN ODE TO BAYARD RUSTIN Written by Michael Benjamin Washington Directed by Phylicia Rashad HEALING WARS Conceived, directed and choreographed by Liz Lerman Running in conjunction with the Playhouse's WithOut Walls Festival INDECENT World premiere play with music Co-created by Rebecca Taichman and Paula Vogel Directed by Ms. Taichman Co-production with Yale Repertory Theatre ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION TBA Bill, in San Diego
