First Timer to Feinstein's

Looking forward to seeing Betty Buckley on Friday. I've never been to Feinstein's. Any hints? We got upfront tix. Was planning to arrive around 645 and have a light dinner in the club. I checked out the restaurant but sushi isn't my thing. And the big question, does tipping the maître de get you a better seat? How much of a tip? Though seems to me the club is intimate and frankly I don't care sitting smack dab in front of the stage.
