In Memory of Richard Connema's long time partner, Eddy Chambers

Posted by: juliabro 10:34 am EST 11/11/14

Dear ATC and Talkin' Broadway Professionals,

As some of you may know, Richard Connema's long time partner, Eddy Chambers passed away on Monday, November 3rd. Richard and Eddy have been fixtures in the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Community for years. Eddy was the most enthusiastic supporter of theatre one could hope to meet, and his joy and love were boundless. That they are both loved by many is an understatement.

To help Richard through this difficult period of adjustment, I have started The Eddy Chambers Martini Fund. Donations can be made through my paypal account. My email is brothersjulia@gmail.com. I will present Richard with the fund, along with a card with everyone's names, at the beginning of December. I will keep meticulous records and those will be available to anyone would like a copy.

If you would like to send Richard a note of condolence, his address is 259 Cervantes Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94123

With thanks and love,

Julia Brothers

I met Eddy at the New Conservatory Theatre a few seasons ago.I mentioned Richard Connema's name and said how I enjoy his postings. At the time I did not know of their relationship. Well, Eddy's eyes lit up and he marched me over to Richard and said Frank from New York wants to meet you. Over the years I ran into these two great guys in San Francisco a few more times in theatres and it was always a joy. They once told me they were thinking of moving back East ( I think Pennsylvania ) I said you can't do that because you are both an institution and fixture of San Francisco. Best wishes to you Richard.

Thanks. I remember that meeting. Eddy was my biggest supporter. Hopefully I will be able to stay in this apartment and continue to review.
