Matthew Murray takes a look at Grand Concourse:

Heidi Schreck's play Grand Concourse, which just opened at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater in a Playwrights Horizons production, acts a fascinating question: How do religious people make forgiveness look so easy? When you get right down to it, after all, they're no different than anyone else. They have the same thoughts, feelings, hopes, and failings, yet they've managed to overcome the emotional and psychological blocks — or maybe just plain stubbornness — that cause decade-long grudges or anger that bursts to the surface in other, more disastrous, ways. Or so it often appears. . . .
