THE COUNTRY HOUSE

saw this yesterday and can't believe more people aren't raving about it-ok, it is derivative of Chekhov, but what's wrong with borrowing themes from the greats, especially while offering the wondrous Blythe Danner her best role! she is amazing in this! shifting from high comedy to drama and breaking your heart in the last scene when she tries to reconnect to a family she has neglected over the years-an extraordinary performance! she gets sterling support from the other five cast members-it's only playing a few more performances-don't miss this masterpiece of acting!
