Yes, I found it a bit odd too but it didn't bother me. It felt like Ellis was giving each of the characters their bit of scene stealing eccentricity but for the most part it was done within the logic of the story. Even Marc Damon Johnson's Donald had an eccentricity that was hard to pin down but was fun to watch. I like the production very much.
