Why do people people who hate John Doyle's work

Keep going to his shows? I don't know how many threads I've read here that say the same thing. He has no sense of humor, he shouldn't have actors play instruments, he's a cold director, he can't direct actors, etc.

It seems if he causes so much dislike on the part of the theatergoer, just stop seeing his shows already.
