Elephant Man last night at the Booth

Absolutely unmissable. Everyone in the cast is brilliant in this fascinating, gripping, well-written award winning play. The production is spare (compared to the original), and the two acts fly by in less than two hours (including intermission).

I didn't want it to be over. Another expensive must-see event of this terrific season.

anecdotes: Not an empty seat. Howard Stern and his spouse sat opposite aisle from me in orchestra. Mr. Cooper, who is splendid in the title role, generously attended to the all the selfie and autograph requests of the large throng awaiting him at the stage door. This despite the chill, frozen rain last night.
