I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Because he keeps getting hired to direct productions that I want to see!

This includes rarely done shows, iconic shows, and New York premieres. I do realize that I have a choice, and time and time again I get sucked in because I want to see the show SO BADLY and I keep hoping something might be different or better. It’s certainly not that I keep going just so I can whine about the show later. I want it to be good! I want to be entertained!

I did, however refrain from buying a ticket to Allegro, because I don’t mind if I miss it. But this is a rarely done show, can you blame people for buying a ticket even if they don’t like Doyle? Same with Passion. Rarely produced, the glorious Judy Kuhn. If you are into that it’s hard to stay away. Iconic shows like Sweeney and Company, which some people may not have ever had the chance to see before. Sondheim masterpieces. And Road Show. After the long gestation period are die hard life long Sondheim fans really going to just skip it because Doyle is at the helm? I may be missing some others but I think people get the gist.

Sorry that was a bit of a rant. But I think there are some valid points.
