I have only seen his Sweeney live. The other Doyle shows I have seen have come free to me by the courtesy of PBS - the Company revival, the LA Opera Mahagonny and the Met Peter Grimes. All of them big disappointments IMO. At least on TV I can check things out and change the channel if I prefer. ;-)

It would take me A LOT to consider paying for a ticket to see another Doyle production live. Probably not gonna happen.
