When Bradley Cooper is standing wearing his Victorian underwear next to the projected, enlarged image of Merrick nude, it crossed my mind why it was decided Cooper shouldn't be nude as well. Shortly after this scene, Cooper is portraying Merrick taking a bath in a bathtub. Again, he is wearing the Victorian underwear. Is this how the Victorian men bathed? I thought Cooper gave a marvelous performance and really captured the charm and humor of Merrick. Clarkson and Nivola are also superb.
