After Wright died, in the annual Times magazine end-of-year issue in which they eulogize famous and important people who died that year, this appeared in the piece on her: "Her film career largely over after 1950, Wright opted for a modest career on TV and on the stage." I wish I had written a letter in response. I almost did. If I had known then what I know now about how much theatre she did regionally in addition to what she did on Broadway, I probably would have. It really annoyed me, and still does, that the stage work that was such a huge part of her career (and must have been very important to her) was dismissed like that.
