Who didn't admire Moorehead's acting abilities? She was apparently a trouper to the very end. I may be mistaken but years ago I thought I had read that as her illness progressed she found it difficult to project on stage in GIGI. Rather than bow out she actually lip synched to a recording of "The Contract". Anyone know if there's any truth to this?

Side note: A neighbor of mine was a friend of hers and considered her his mentor. He said she was very funny at times without even realizing it. One night she said she called the police to complain about her next-door neighbor's party. She told the officers that lascivious ungodly and offending things were going on there. The police asked her how she could possibly see into their home since it seemed impossible to view it from hers. She replied, "If you stand on my dining room table all the way to the left you can see into their window"....lol.
