Agnes's performance of Sorry, Wrong Number on Suspense was so popular, she repeated it a whopping seven times after it's initial airing. I know one airing (maybe the first?) had some glitch at the end that left viewers confused as to the outcome. (I'm actually in the midst of listening to all 20 years of Suspense in sequence on MP3s.) Agnes is great in this show and all her appearances on Suspense and Lucille Fletcher was such a terrific writer. I've never seen Nightwatch on stage and I know it was not considered successful, but when I read it, I couldn't get over how clever and perfect I found the ending. Just like I sometimes think what breakfasts might be like between Mike Nichols and Diane Sawyer, I wonder the same about Lucille Fletcher and her one time husband Bernard Herrmann. Such extraordinary talents. By the way, several episodes of the radio version of Sorry, Wrong Number with Agnes are up on youtube.
