Wright was such a lovely woman. I was in a production of "I Never Sang For My Father" in Los Angeles in the mid-90's, and we received an opening night congratulatory telegram from her. She had, of course, been married to playwright Robert Anderson and played Alice in the original Broadway production; she had also been a friend of our production's Margaret. She was also a wonderful Linda Loman in the George C. Scott production of "Death of a Salesman", a production which, sadly, never gets its due in comparison to the more event-driven revivals which followed. I am so glad to have seen it. And oh, how I wish I had seen Agnes in something! Particularly "Don Juan In Hell", which was by all accounts legendary. I am glad she has been posthumously honored for her radio work, and have enjoyed all of your memories of her many brilliant performances. A shame we never got to see her in anything of Albee's. Their eras just barely overlapped, but I can so envision her in, say "A Delicate Balance". Hell, I just wish we'd had her with us for longer.
