Cooper seems to be a very down to earth guy" who genuinely enjoys mixing with his fans. When The Place Beyond the Pines" opened in Schenectady, where it was filmed, he grabbed a backpack, took a rental car and drove from where he was filming in Boston to watch the film at the downtown Bowtie Cinema along with the locals who'd participated in or watched the filming.
