Do you hang around for Cherry Jones, Greg Edelman, Bernadette Peters, Jan Maxwell, Bryan F. O’Byrne, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Danny Burnstein, Kathleen Chalfant, Boyd Gaines, Judy Kuhn, Bebe Neuwirth? If so, are you disappointed by them? Why are you disappointed by Jake Gyllenhaal? What would you like him to do so that you would not be disappointed? Do you appreciate his work or do you simply want to say you met him at a stage door and he smiled at you and gave you his autograph? Or do you appreciate his work and simply also want to be able to say he smiled at you and gave you his autograph? Or is your adoration of his work so intense that you feel it important to both you and him that you are afforded the opportunity to express your admiration in person outside a stage door on a crowded New York street subsequent to the end of his work day? A few years ago George Clooney,arriving at the Oscars, left the red carpet and ran around high fiving "fans" cued up behind crowd control barriers. They appeared to be thrilled. Is that what you would like Mr. Gyllenhaal to do? Would that satiate your desire, lessen your disappointment?
