i don't get this either. i don't see it happening all that often and when it does it's deserved. maybe there's something going on specific to this production and it's bringing out the celebrity-desperate and they're just applauding everything he does. that would be annoying.

but to applaud an especially moving scene? sorry, nothing wrong with that and even if it was i'd be like the old song says and not want to be right.
