Finally caught 'On the Town'

Posted by: BwyDan 08:44 pm EST 11/16/14

I liked it a lot - especially, that glorious score, played by that huge, fantastic orchestra; the great choreography and dancing; the 3 fabulous leading men; and Elizabeth Stanley's wacky Clair.

Stephen DeRosa was out the night I attended.

I was in musical theater heaven during

NY, NY
Carried Away
Lonely Town
The Act ll Pas du Duex
Some Other Time

But. If the libretto were just slightly more substantial; if the theater were a bit smaller; and mostly, if Jackie Hoffman and the actress playing Hildy were recast, MAN, would it be great!

I'm certainly glad I saw it.
