Wow - I'd known about the 1959 plans for Saturday Night, but not the ones in 1958. That's a fair amount of interest for a show that never got off the ground. And understandable, considering the quality of the score (although I've never cared for the book).

I'd heard about Everett being announced for the role in Exodus; I came across the info in a biography of Anthony Perkins - or was it Jane Fonda? Well, one of them.
