I found a DVD of him dancing this with the Bolshoi (link attached). Does that seem like the same production you saw in NYC? I'm sorry to have missed this, dance always seems to fall off my radar so very happy you pointed this out, going to try and see him in something else in NYC instead and get the DVD.
