I hope it goes without saying that when you perform musical theater numbers out of context, they're almost always going to be not quite as effective as they are in context. Especially numbers like "Simply Irressitible" and the number from IN THE HEIGHTS, which are all about the characters' relationships. Pure dance numbers like "Turkey Lurkey Time" are usually more effective as stand-alone pieces.
