Ann Harada hosts free concert of Asian-American songwriters & singers

The Asian American Composers and Lyricists Project will present the world premiere of ''Arriving in Asian America'' on Monday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Peter Norton Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia, 2537 Broadway (at 95th St.) in NYC. The song cycle was written by many talented artists (including Adam Gwon, Timothy Huang, Christine Toy Johnson, Leon Ko and Robert Lee). And the cast will include B.D. Wong, Raymond J. Lee, Marc delaCruz, Pearl Sun, Thom Sesma and many more. The Project was founded by Toy Johnson, a Broadway actress, librettist, lyricist, filmmaker and champion of diversity in the theater. She's also received the Rosetta LeNoire Award from Actors' Equity. Last year's AACLP concert was a real winner. To RSVP for this year's, email by Dec. 5 at aasongwriters@gmail.com.
