I think this show would profit immeasurably from being scaled down. It's essentially a 3-character piece (plus Betty and "show business" as the fifth character). Doing it small would get back to the seedy claustrophobia of the film source. And Murphy would be excellent. Maybe the man is a role Jarrod Emick (spelling?) should do. That the Roundabout is a "not-for-profit" is a financial distinction. It never need mean that you can't do WOWZA shows. Which this would be. Wowza. I'd love to see it.
