DARK MATTERS BY ROBERTO AGUIRRE – SACASA TO BE PRESENTED AT WEIST BARRON STUDIOS

Genoveva Productions LLC is presenting DARK MATTERS, Friday November 21st and Saturday November 22nd at Weist Barron Studios 35 West 45th Street Studio 1, 6th Floor at 8:00 PM.

Dark Matters is a play that investigates reality, distortion and how a claim can change a quiet town forever. Set in Greenbank Virginia, the Cleary Family seems to be living a very average life. All this is to change when Bridget Cleary disappears mysteriously and when she returns claims she has been abducted by aliens. The play unfolds revelations not only by Bridget but by each of the characters in turn.

The cast features Julia Genovena as Bridget Cleary. Julia Genoveva who is also directing and producing has been in the entertainment industry for several years acting in film, commercials and theatre. In 2009, she founded Genoveva Productions L.L.C. Her last production was the play, “Jade’s Secret” also written, directed and starring Julia, about a murder mystery in a small town that was stuck in a different time. She has also had many of her plays produced by other theatre companies in NYC. After nearly a two year hiatus, she is excited to return with the production of “Dark Matters. She was featured as Anissa in the play “Juan and Emmett,” written and directed by Alan Baxter, and “You Can Run,” written and directed by Jason Cross. Gustavo "Gus" Ferrari is featured as Michael Cleary. A veteran of the stage, Gus, has numerous theatre, film and TV credits and has traveled the country performing with "Murder To Go" Interactive Mystery Theatre and Winceyco lnc. Educational Theatre. He appeared as R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Juror # 10 in 12 Angry Jurors and Lucien Smith in The Boys Next Door. Gus was a founding member of l.N.T.A.R.53 Latino Actors Workshop (1997-2000) and is a proud member of F.A.C.T. Theatre Company. Kevin O'Brien is Benjamin Egan and was last seen in Jean Chenault Porter's play "The Darkroom" at the Midtown International Theatre Festival. He has studied at HB Studio, Second City Improv, and the Upright Citizens Brigade. He was also featured in "A Woman of No Importance" by Oscar Wilde, "Lord Byron's Love Letter" by Tennessee Williams, "Dulce" by George S. Kauffman, and "Baal" by Berthold Brecht. Television credits include "As The World Turns", "Saturday Night Live", and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien". He has performed stand up comedy at several New York comedy clubs. JianCarlos is featured as Jeremy Cleary) he recently made his directorial debut with Hard-Bitten. He appeared as Angel Rent, Pacito Adan Y Julio, and Drew I Stand The Musical.
