STAGED READING FOR THE ACTING COMPANY NOVEMBER 24 AT 7PM


New York, November 20 … The Acting Company will present a staged reading of The Millionairess, George Bernard Shaw's delightful satire on romance, religion, capitalism and how the other half lives at 7 pm on Monday, November 24 at the Pearl Theater, 555 West 42nd Street (10th - 11th Avenues). The performance-starring Julia Coffey (London Wall) and Acting Company Alums Tom Alan Robbins (Newsies), Tom Hewitt (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Rocky Horror Show), Fred Arsenault (The Royal Family, Born Yesterday), Erika Rolfsrud (The Big Knife), Ezra Knight (Cymbeline), Pamela Nyberg (All Over), Christian Conn (Desire Under the Elms) and Ian Gould (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead)-will be followed by a reception with the cast and director, Acting Company Artistic Director Ian Belknap (Hamlet). Her first marriage fails, her next beau is dimwitted and then she falls for an Egyptian doctor whom she cannot marry until they meet conditions set-up by their respective parents. Katharine Hepburn, Sophia Loren and Maggie Smith have starred in this delightful satire," said Margot Harley, Producer of The Acting Company.
